Tinctures are typically taken in 3-4ml. doses as needed, say in the hours before sex (formulas #12 and #19). Some formulas are meant to be taken daily, to build sexual energy and balance hormones over time (#24, the hormone balance formula, etc.).

The only formula that it is important to be careful with is #19. It's a potent male aphrodisiac and performance enhancer, but it cannot be used where there is heart disease or high blood pressure, or by patients on blood pressure medication or MAOIs.

#16 and Hormone Balance are perfectly safe while breastfeeding. Nothing we make should be taken while pregnant.

These herbs have various constituents and secondary properties, so they work in different ways. Some aphrodisiacs tone reproductive tissue; others enhance testosterone and other sex hormones.
